Original painting is on encaustic board 8 X 10" (no frame required). One thing about working with vintage photographs is that all the subjects are deceased. Because of that, I coated this child's parents heavily in encaustic medium using what's called "the pour" technique. The baby, who I named Jerry Drake, survived. I masked him out with painter's tape until the wax set up.
